Right hand, 800ft agl.
- On departure, maintain runway track until 800ft agl or 1.5nm
whichever occurs last before turning right.
Areas to avoid on 05 departure:
N52°05.27 E001°00.38 Elmsett Hall Farm - Turn from crosswind onto downwind after Park Wood (which contains a scrap yard).
- On downwind, track South of Hadleigh (town), and turn onto right base leg when clear of town.
- Turn onto final West of Hadleigh.
23 Circuit
Left hand, 800ft agl.
- On departure, maintain runway track until 800ft agl or West
of Hadleigh (town) whichever occurs last before turning left.
Areas to avoid on 23 departure:
N52°03.701 E000°57.886 Red Hill, Aldham (0.97nm, 17° left of centre line from runway 23 midpoint) N52°04.341 E000°57.692 Old Rectory, Whatfield (0.64nm 25° right of centre line from runway 23 midpoint)
- On downwind leg, track South of Hadleigh, parallel to runway, between Wolves Wood and Hintlesham Wood.
- Turn left onto base leg 1/2nm before power lines.
- On base leg, track to the left of Middle Wood.
- Turn onto an offset final to the North of normal Final approach track to avoid Elmsett Hall Farm (church and buildings) to North-East of Elmsett. Click here for an expanded image.
