- Prevailing winds and runway slope usually favour a Rwy 23 departure.
- Keep closely to circuit pattern to minimise noise nuisance.
- Attempt to contact Wattisham Approach 125.8 before departure, and obtain clearance. (If unable to establish radio contact with Wattisham, make blind calls as per standard RT procedure on 125.8).
- Remain below 800ft agl and depart from the circuit via Raydon or Copdock VRPs. At the VRP, climb if cleared by Wattisham, or at you discretion if no RT contact with Wattisham established.
